Ken Shamrock is one of the most widely recognized MMA fighters in the world.
He is a legendary American Mixed Martial Arts fighter and former professional
wrestler. Ken Shamrock is best known for his participation in the Pride Fighting
Championships, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and Pancrase fighting events.
Ken is one of only four fighters to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
He was the 1st King of Pancrase (Pancrase 1994) and also the UFC Superfight
Champion. Ken’s Submission wrestling system has been taught and trained by
coaches and competitors all over the world.
Shamrock is currently a subject matter expert in the Marine Corps Martial Arts
Program (MCMAP). In addition to overseeing the Lion’s Den Scottsdale, Ken coaches
the Nevada Lion’s IFL team and is in the best shape of his life as he prepares
for his next competition.

Edwin Dewees has
a Mixed Martial Arts record of 43-13 and is known through out the MMA
world as a crafty submission artist. Edwin has been a UFC since he was
20 years old, fighting world class competitors like Rich Franklin and
Chris Leban. He currently continues his training in the quest for the
205lbs world title, Edwin is also one of the lead instructors of
Jiu Jitsu and MMA at the Lion’s Den Scottsdale.

Rick Roufus is the most decorated Full contact Kick-Boxer in the history of the sport. Roufus, nicknamed The Jet, has been a six time full contact kick-boxing world champion winning two different weight class titles under the International Kickboxing Federation. In the early 1990’s he made a change in profession and turned to boxing, winning the WBC Continental Americas Cruiserweight title.. Rick also added the K1’s US championship to his six world titles in 1998. He holds an incredible record of 57 wins and 7 losses, with 40 wins by knockout.
Rick is the Head Kick-Boxing and Boxing Instructor for Lion’s Den Scottsdale. He passes along his world class instruction and knowledge to students of all skill levels.
